Babies are a joy, but they can also be a lot of work. One of the biggest challenges for new parents is figuring out how to get out of the house with their new baby, toddler, or little ones. It can seem like an impossible task, but it is definitely doable. Should have a baby bag, bottle feeding, changing mat, blanket, first aid kit, and cotton wool.  In this blog post, we will give you 10 tips for getting out of the house with your baby!

Let’s face it, getting out of the house with a baby is no easy feat. There are so many things to remember and so many things that can go wrong. But don’t worry, we’re here to help.

Getting out with Baby Tips

1. Get organized the night before.

Before you go to bed, make sure you have everything you need for the next day packed and ready to go. This includes diapers, wipes, clothes, food, and anything else you might need. This will save you time and stress in the morning.

2. Get up early.

It’s always better to be early than late. This gives you time to get yourself and your baby ready without feeling rushed. Plus, if there are any hiccups along the way, you’ll still have time to fix them before you have to leave.

3. Dress your baby in easy-to-change clothes.

No one wants to be fumbling around with buttons and snaps when they’re trying to get out the door. Save yourself the hassle and dress your baby in clothes that are easy to take on and off.

4. Have a diaper bag packed and ready to go.

Again, this is all about being prepared. Make sure you have everything you need in your diaper bag so you’re not scrambling around looking for things when you’re already running late.

5. Put your baby in the car seat before you leave the house.

This might seem like an obvious one, but you’d be surprised how many people forget to do this until they’re already on their way out the door. Putting your baby in the car seat before you leave will save you time and hassle later on.

6. Don’t forget your own stuff!

When you’re packing up everything for your baby, it’s easy to forget about your own things too. Make sure you have your keys, wallet, phone, etc., before you leave so you’re not scrambling around looking for them later on.

7. Take your time getting out of the house.

There’s no need to rush when you’re getting out of the house with a baby. Take your time and make sure everything is in its place before you leave so you don’t have to worry about it later on down the road.

8. Have a plan B (and C).

Sometimes things don’t go as planned—and that’s okay! It’s always good to have a backup plan (or two) in case something goes wrong along the way. That way, if your first plan doesn’t work out, you can easily switch to plan B without missing a beat.

9. Be flexible.

This goes hand-in-hand with having a backup plan (or two). Things rarely ever go according to plan when you’ve got a baby in tow, so it’s important to be flexible and go with the flow. You never know what might happen, so it’s always good to be prepared for anything.

10. Enjoy the ride!

Though it might not always be easy, try to enjoy the ride. These years are precious and they’ll be over before you know it. So savor every moment, even if it means being a little late for wherever it is you are going.

Is a baby carrier good for a baby?

A baby sling — typically a one-shouldered baby carrier made of soft fabric — can be a safe way to carry a baby, if you follow safety guidelines. But a baby sling can pose a suffocation hazard to an infant, particularly those younger than age 4 months.

Safest Baby Carrier For Newborn Baby

Using a wrap or classic buckle carrier for babywearing is really convenient as it frees your hands. It’s useful especially when you have more than one child, you need to do household chores or go somewhere where the stroller is too bulky and inconvenient (for example crowded mall or airport). Some parents even use a baby carrier instead of a stroller.

Best Wrap Carrier For Newborn Baby

Generally, speaking wraps are the perfect solution for the newborn baby because they support the baby in the most natural position (called frog position or spread-squat position) – if tying is done properly. Of course, it requires a bit of practice and it takes some time to learn how to make a secure tie.

Besides, wearing a baby in a wrap gives the baby a sense of security, the baby can feel that mom/dad is close, and can hear their heartbeat. It also helps parents to bond with their babies. Parents who want to start babywearing are usually a bit hesitant about using a wrap as it requires learning how to tie it. But wraps are definitely worth considering because they have lots of advantages: they are comfortable and secure for newborn babies. Besides, this is a pocket-friendly option – wraps are much cheaper than good soft-structured carriers.

1. Solly Baby Wrap

Solly Baby Wrap is a trendy newborn wrap and my personal favorite on this list. This wrap is designed to offer excellent babywearing for newborns weighing 7-8 pounds. It will remain useful until the baby is around 25 pounds (most parents agree that it’s most comfy up to approximately 9 months).

2. Boba Baby Wrap Carrier

Classic Boba Wrap can be used from birth up to 35 lbs. Although it has a high weight limit, it works best up to about 20-25 lbs. It’s perfect for newborn babies and it will easily serve you for up to 1 – 1.5 years. Boba Wrap comes in one size – but it’s about 5.5 yards (5 meters) long and it’s highly adjustable so even very small and big parents can tie it properly and wear it comfortably.

3. WildBird Ring Sling

There are so many reasons to love Wild Bird sling: it’s breathable and doesn’t make you sweaty, putting it on is a piece of cake, it feels really supportive for newborns, it’s comfy and it looks SO PRETTY. I think this is one of the best baby carriers in a medium price range.

Wild Bird can be used from birth if your little one is at least 8 pounds. Lots of moms have been using this baby carrier for 1.5 or even 2 years! This only proves that it’s much stronger than baby wraps and this also makes it a better investment.

All mamas and babies have different needs and that’s why Wild Bird comes in 4 versions: Solid, Pattern, Modal and Double. If you can’t decide which one to choose, read my full review of Wild Bird Sling – it will help you choose the right version for your baby.

4. Ergobaby Omni 360 Baby Carrier

Let’s start with the all-in-one baby carrier from Ergobaby. This baby carrier can be used from birth, but the baby must weigh at least 7 pounds.

5. Ergobaby Embrace

If tying the wrap seems confusing to you, and the buckle carriers feel too bulky and hot, then Ergobaby Embrace is the solution for you. It’s cozy for the newborn baby while being light and comfortable to wear for the parent. Moreover, this ergonomic baby carrier is more affordable than many other buckle carriers! You can use Ergobaby Embrace from birth, but the minimum weight is 7 pounds and the minimum height is 20 inches. The weight limit is 25 pounds. The size makes it perfect for newborns and babies up to 12-18 months.

More than an Hour should a baby be in a baby carrier?

Limiting time in the carrier to an hour at a time. Then give your baby a break so his hips can move around and avoid getting overextended.
